Your Love is My Drug

My post title reflects the song that's been stuck
in my head for days now.  It works.
Anyway, Sterling and I recently celebrated our 8th anniversary.  Here we are in the Space Needle.  Neither of us had been to the Sky City Restaurant before, and it did not disappoint!  Thanks to Sarah G, we got in with only a days notice and felt very VIP-ish!

The weather cooperated and we were able to see Seattle in the daylight, as the sun set, and all lit up at night.  It was perfect.
Lamb.
Snicker-doodle cobbler and white chocolate, macadamia nut bread pudding.  Yum.
After din din, we went to see the Seattle Symphony.  I loved it.  I couldn't stop smiling through the whole first piece.  It was amazing.
During intermission we got to rub elbows with the culturally elite.  We felt more than a little out of place, whilst our company sipped their cocktails and competed for whose nose pointed highest.  It was pretty entertaining.  Here's a shot of Sterling trying to fit in.
(Reminds me of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. lol)
It was a fun and romantic evening with just us.  I can't believe eight years have come and gone already and I love this man even more!  Happy Anniversary Babe.

Misc.

Conference weekend, and some silly boys.  I love Marcus' face in this picture.  He cracks me up!

Weird photo to post?  Maybe.  I love my baby's feet.
Conference bingo.
Did anyone else notice that Sterling and Hayden are making the same face?  They are SO much alike.
A homemade gift-box for Sterling and I.  Inside was a note he wrote saying how much he loves us.  Did my heart melt?  Completely.
I had to take a picture of these guys Marcus made.

me:  "Marcus, are they dancing?"
Marcus:  "No."
me:  "Are they fighting?"
Marcus:  "No."
me:  "What are they doing?"
Marcus:  "They're high-fivin'!"

Well of course they are!  I love the way their minds work.

Never bored.
Shop 56 Dodge-ball.  4th place out of 16 ain't bad.  It was a fun night, though it would've been better if the yard wasn't full of cheaters and the refs actually did their jobs.  I'm just saying....
My niece Aubrey, or "Auberry" as Noah calls her, celebrated her 5th birthday recently.  It's always nice to see her.  She's so sweet!

Sterling and I had plans to celebrate our anniversary after the party (that'll be my next post), so I got ready there.  Chris wasn't getting ready for anything.  He's just cool.
This was taken not too long ago.  The Franklin side cousins.  Four out of seven boys are mine.  Nice.
Last, but not least, a photo of Noah being his funny self.

Happy Birthday Marcus!!!!!

I can't believe he's 5!  Marcus wanted to celebrate his big day by going to JUMP, and he had a blast!

I think we're only missing one birthday guest...sorry Ty!

I love how cute this crush is...

After JUMP, we came back to our place for lunch, cake and presents.  The kids played while I made food and thank you Marcus for choosing something easy!  Mac n cheese with hot dogs.

Cake time!  I made this cake from scratch (so I could eat it), and it was delicious!  Visually, it didn't meet our expectations, BUT, Marcus could tell what it was (a bouncy house made out of Trios), and that's all that mattered!
Happy Birthday Marcus.  We love you!!!!!

Halloween thus Far...

Pumpkin Patch

left to right...Noah's, mine, Marcus', Hayden's, & Sters.  Hayden & Marcus carved their own!

 This years Halloween crafts.
1
Got this idea from a friends blog, who I think got it from Pinterest?
2
Slip covers, one for each boy.  They were easy enough to make, but it definitely wasn't a craft for kids to do, which is what I wanted!

 Paper plate ghosts.
This was in a previous post, but I wanted to put all our Halloween pictures together.  The wreath I made.
