Sebastian isn't one to sleep through the night. He's more like one who wakes up 3 to 6 times a night. Then it dawned on me....um, he's almost 7 months old and is still only breast fed. Do you think maybe he's ready for some real food?! So, anyway, despite these discouraging photos, I'm hopeful that soon he will sleep through the night. I just want him to stay a baby dang it!

I tried to spy and shoot but he was on to me right away and right as I took the picture he looked at me like this. He's funny. They only make these faces to bother their mother! (I secretly love it.)

Our boys would've been happy with any tree. They thought every one was perfect. I've always wanted a tree with distinct layers though, and this year I got one!

This is kind of a fun collection that we didn't start on purpose, but we plan to keep ongoing. Our boys really like snow globes.

The other day I got caught up on laundry. Actually, it took 2 days to get caught up, and as usual, Hayden and Marcus fold and put clothes away with me. Well, look what happens when daddy helps. Laundry suddenly takes longer and gets louder, as socks become weapons, and barricades become necessary. I do love moments like these though!
Creative laziness. Hayden thought he'd save time and energy by stacking his clothes together and then folding them just once. I had to take a picture.

Erika was in town and stopped by for a visit. As always, it was great to her and her family. Too bad these visits are so few and far between! Last time we got together we were comparing our now 3yr old boys when they were babies!

He's our first baby who likes to bounce and he's pretty dang adorable doing it.
I got this Thanksgiving tree idea from a friend. We did it for FHE (family home evening, for those who don't know) and it was a lot of fun. Each leaf has written on it, something that we're thankful for. Oh, and just for the record, Noah is true to his name....
Ster: Noah, what are you thankful for?
Noah: Animals!
Ster: OK. What else are you thankful for?
Noah: Elephants!
Ster: That's an animal Noah. What else are you thankful for?
Noah: Lions!
...and this went on...
I think we'll do this every year. It was easy and made a meaningful, pretty decoration.

I was determined this year to have a simple party. It was so nice, and Noah had a great time. I let the kids play, we had cake and opened presents and that was it!
As you probably could have guessed, the theme was animals.
I made the cake & icing from scratch (because I wanted to be able to eat it) and it turned out great.
The story behind the picture below is that these taffy's were supposed to be rocks around the watering hole, but really just looked like piles of poo....so, I moved them. Inappropriate? Maybe, although I don't think any of the kids even noticed!

I allowed for two hours but we were done after just one. Yes, he fell asleep at his own party.
Sterling just had a birthday too. We didn't throw a party (a game night is coming soon), but I made him a nice dinner and we enjoyed the evening at home as a family. His gift...
Pineapple upside down cake. Ster's favorite (that and ice cream). It stuck a little to the paper, but it tasted amazing if I do say so. Again, from scratch and seriously so good. That recipe is a keeper. The cake was gone by lunch the next day. Maybe a little too good?
