Happy Birthday Noah!!!

This year's theme was, forgive me for using this word...cheesy. However, seeing as he's only one we felt it was OK. We're really happy with the way it turned out, despite the work it took. The theme...

Presents

I was always planning on cupcakes, but after we picked a theme I thought of this. Cute huh? For those of you who are lame...it's a ferris wheel.

This was one of our three rides. The Octo-Whirl. The kids loved it!

Aww yes. The artwork. After clearing Grandpa's walls and hanging up butcher paper, Sterling went around and decorated with crayon. A last minute idea was to throw in a hint of Noah's Ark, hence the water.
Here is one of our three games. The Rubberband Range. You had to shoot the targets with rubberband guns. After playing each game, the kids got tokens to ride the rides.
The second game was the Bottle Bash. Here's uncle Brad "helping" Elijah. lol.
Our third game was Ring Fling. Here's Robert and Marcus. Marcus made the ring in his hand. It hit about three feet up on the blinds and fell perfectly around a pin. Mad skills.
The big black box is another ride. The Space Mission.
Here's a shot of the inside. Sterling built a rocket around a bouncy horse, out of cardboard and duck tape. It sat right in front of the huge tv and the kids got to bounce around on their spaceship blowing up stuff. We even fastened flashlights on the handles so it lit up when they fired. What they didn't know was that my brother Chris was hiding in the corner, watching their every move and playing the game accordingly. It was super cool. Pictured below is Cole.
The rocket.
Our last ride...
This also was a big hit. Towards the end of the party Cole ran and jumped down this slide on his butt. Few things in this world go faster than he did down that slide. It was hilarious, and inspiring. I tried it later. The outcome, not as painless as Coles. Sterling caught Cole at the bottom by chance. Nobody caught me. A few bruises and rugburns, accompanied by some instant backpain...I'd still do it again.

Birthday pic, a photo album of his first year, his hand print, and some note cards for guests to write messages/memories on for a time capsule I'm preparing.
More artwork.
Some of the guests. L-R, Marcus, Elijah, Hayden, Allen, Cole, Alanna, Brigham. (Noah was sleeping)

A tour of the party...

Halloween & more

Our Trunk or Treat started @ 4pm. Nice to be done so soon, but very weird in the daylight.

The cute & the ugly. It's always nice to spend holidays with family.
Yes, they work out.
Gollum? Dad passed out candy so S & I could walk around with the boys. Thanks dad!
Hot Pirate
The Williams

Our ward also had a donut eating contest.
It didn't take but 20 seconds before Marcus lost patience and used his hands.
Cousins Oscar, Jack & Anisa.
Thank you Kmart for selling your costumes @ 40% so Nadine and I could be super cool.
Brant & Sterling
After our ward, we headed over to the Frontier building for Kanoe's ward. Needless to say, we all got waaaaaaaay too much candy.
Cousins Kawailani & Lehua.
Sterling, scaring all the kids.
I had to take a picture of the bishop & his wife, who in my book gained awesome points that night. I love it when grown ups dress up. Too bad it's blurry.
The end.
Two more random pics...
Noah being the perfect baby again,
and another one of Hayden's masterpiece. It's a theatre. That's a long runway leading to the stage. Notice the audience. My people on the left, and Sterling's on the right.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCUS!!!

I'm three!
These are his FAVORITE things in the whole world. He LOVES this monkey and fish blanket.

Marcus's birthday party

This year's theme was Spiderman & Bumblebee. (and a racecar)
Audrey & her daddy.
Amy & Romy

Sterling decorated the cake. If anyone ever needs to use a spiderman cake pan let us know.
We used the candy from the pinata' to decorate cupcakes.
Here's Macy (Marcus's future bride. Sorry Eli)
Allen thoroughly enjoyed this part of the party.
Marcus got a ton of gifts, more than at Christmas. He's not a fan of being in the spotlight, so despite what it looked like at the party, he did love his gifts! Thank you!!
Here's a picture of his gift from us, his first bike.
Here's a clip of him before his party. He was pretty excited for his day.
